Shopping for clothes with mom.

Yesterday I went shopping for clothes with my mom in Haarlem. I can’t even remember the last time I’ve been to that city. What I was specifically looking for was pants, because I had to get rid of some as my butt had gotten too big (I know, right?) and bras.

Bras are really hard for me at the moment as my boobs are this weird in-between size (like A-minus) and the wrong ones can be quite uncomfortable or even hurt. They’re growing rapidly, though, which is awesome.

My mom was mostly looking for shoes and has been having a hard time finding good ones. She has even smaller feet than me which makes it very hard to shop for shoes. Most stores will not even carry our size.

We checked out a few shoe stores first and at like the third one I saw these really cool looking boots that I just had to try on. Once I got them on I was just amazed. Perfect fit. I had to buy them.

My mom wasn’t so lucky because every store we tried did not have the right shoes for her and the ones she did like were too wide around the ankle so there was no support.

We came across a Wonder Woman, which is actually where I get a lot of my clothes as they sell a lot of XS and often have sales. As soon as I entered I saw these awesome looking pants but they were 50 bucks. Not too bad but still a lot of money. We eventually decided to keep looking and if I couldn’t find any elsewhere I’d get those.

Not long after we wound up at the V&D, which is a department store consisting of about 5 or 6 floors, most of them selling clothes but also jewelry, DVDs and whatnot. This is where I hit the jackpot really.

To cut a long story short. In total I bough myself thee pairs of pants, a lacy pink and black bra & panty set, a cute fuchsia bra, sexy pantyhose, mid-high boots, a nightie, and a necklace.

My mom got a very nice looking jacket and also some jewelry but sadly, no shoes. Maybe next time.

Most of this stuff was already on sale and it also happened to be a special sale day meaning that almost everything you buy after 6pm gets another 20% discount. So we got a really good deal that day!

What’s that? My date? Oh, I’ll cover that next time, don’t worry!

The boulevard

Spent the day in Scheveningen. Not to sit my white butt on the beach but rather to walk around the boulevard, check out the shops, and sit at a terras with a drink. As it was the pentacost weekend and the weather was awesome it was pretty darn busy out there.

Quite busy on the beach.

They also had a market up and everything, I managed to buy me some kewl new pink shades for only a few bucks. It had a label on it with a number that was significantly higher than what I wound up paying for it. I was even ready to start haggling for price, but then he just said “5 bucks” and I was like “OMG SOLD!”. lol

Blinding sun.Another stand had a bunch of jewelry for sale. The guy behind it told me it was 1 uro each or 7 items for 5 euros. Uh.. ok. :) I found a few nice earrings and some necklaces that I needed.

One last stand also had rings, which are kinda hard for me to find as I have very small fingers. I went through one box of rings and found a *really* tiny one. I tried it on my pinky but the ring was too big. :( Then my eye fell on an even smaller ring and lo and behold! It fit! :D Awesome! I always wanted a pinky ring.

All in all I had a great day and I even managed to get my arms sunburnt. :P

Last therapy session of 2008

Last friday, on my wife’s birthday, I had my last therapy session of the year. An awkward day but it was already postponed before due to my wife’s surgical recovery. She was busy herself that day, she had an appointment to pick up her books for her Dutch integration course she’s about to start next year and she went shopping with the aunts afterward. :)

In my therapy session we discussed many things and made a ‘road map’ for the following few months that I want to try and start or accomplish. It’s not a very extensive list by any means, just mainly stuff I’ve been putting off due to other circumstances and I need to get started on those. So that’s my current homework.

Upon entering he also complimented me on my nails. :D Which is always nice. Since it had been a while I told him about all the stuff I’ve been up to and how my schedule is going. So I told him I was doing good with that overall though one particular week was not so great and I was a bit depressed during that time as well. I just need to spend some more time on myself, is all.

Overall things were good and I strolled around Amsterdam for a bit afterward. Didn’t really buy anything apart from silver heart shaped earrings and necklace. I was lacking those. :D (Yes, I know I’m an addict). I played with my new phone a lot that we picked up the day before. It’s a Samsung Omnia and it is awesome as you can read on my other blog. :)

Sunday Shopping Spree

The sunday before last when my dad was here, as he is every week, we decided to go eat at the Subway in Leiden for a change. We usually go to like the Plaza or something and wind up eating fast food; fried stuff. I’m really trying to cut that down to like a once a week thing, or less.

So anyway, I got the awesome parmesan oregano bread, full size, toasted, with cheese, chicken teriyaki and lettuce. No oils or sauces, I don’t really like any. It was really good. So good, in fact, that after I ate a whole one of those I got another half one shortly after. Oooh, and Mt. Dew too! :)

Afterward we strolled around the city for a while, not all stores were open but most of the major ones were. We went to the V&D first, as the kid wanted to look for some socks and Sha needed a sports bra for her then upcoming surgery, from which she has just been released from the hospital!

Then on another floor we looked at some (cheap) jewelry (from SIX) and I ‘snatched’ a few things I needed. I finally found a good bracelet; a gold chain with black strap embedded inside of it. Sha handed me another one later that was silvery white. I always have trouble looking for some as I have very small arms/wrists. :)

I also found black and red earrings; dangly ones that I think will go well with a few of my shirts. A purple Y shaped necklace, because I have a lot of purple shirts ‘n stuff, and also a purple flowery bracelet.

Boots! Now I’m still looking for a black or black/red necklace and bracelet, purple earrings and bracelet, a white necklace and earrings, and.. well.. I just like having lots of jewelry. :) Oh and I’m still looking for a small and thin gold watch. I’ve seen a few but I’m still looking.

Dad payed for my jewelry, for which I am ever so grateful, but the shopping spree wasn’t over yet.. We went into a shoe store where we all looked at high boots. I’ve been looking for some for a while now, I have thin legs but I like tight boots so it’s tough sometimes.

In the end all three of us found new boots and again dad was feeling really generous today and payed for all of them. That must’ve hurt his wallet a little. They are really awesome boots though! A perfect fit! :)

Here finally is the promised picture of the jewelry I bought the other day. :P
Yes, it’s late but I’ve been incredibly busy. More actual photos of yours truly coming up soonish.

I mainly wear the heart-shaped earrings, I like them a lot. They go well with the necklace too, which I wear, like, all the time. :) The long dangly ones are more occasionally worn and the studs (which are the ones that came with the necklace) I wear at night.
