Cybergoth outfit #1

With this year’s Castlefest nearing and my boots finally arriving I decided to try ‘n fix up a good outfit to wear to the event.

This is my first attempt at a cybergoth look. I think it came out pretty well and that the alternating pink & black nails is a nice touch.

I wore the short boots in that last photo but I don’t intend to wear those with this outfit.

I feel the entire ensemble would look better if I dyed my hair black with pink streaks. I might still actually do this, not sure.

And no, I’m not bringing the guitar along. I just thought it looked nice. :)

Metallica – The Unforgiven : guitar cover + solo in Eb (e flat) HD

Yeah, I know the timing is off at first, but that is mostly due to me not being able to hear the other guitar part while recording. It gets better when the bass comes in. Which, by the way, I made louder than on the original recording because you could never hear it. :p

I am by no means a solo guitarist!! In fact, this is the very first guitar solo I have ever played in its entirety. It is just something I wanted to try.

It was very deliberate to do both guitars in a single take rather than recording 12 different takes of all the different sections of the song to recreate the studio version. My goal was to create a playable live version, flaws ‘n all. And there are flaws alright! :D

Despite the mistakes, I am pleased with it. I know the song, and I know in an actual live performance I’d do much better than this. But I’m tired of practicing this song now.

Thanks for watching/listening! <3 Please rate & comment! I’m moving on to the next song. What will it be???

Metallica – Wherever I May Roam : guitar cover in Eb (e flat)

Rock Chick

T-Shredder.

While clearly a staged shot, I do play. Just not as often as I used to.

Years ago I actually had private lessons and was actively playing classical guitar with the plan to try and go to the conservatory and keep doing classical studies. I had the talent but sadly I never followed through on that because of many stupid reasons and practically quit playing for a very long time.

Nowadays I pick it up every now and then and just shred out some metal riffs. It is good for anger management sometimes too.

It is a Samick 24 fret featuring a genuine Floyd Rose tremolo bar with double locking system and gold plated parts. It is many, many years old and damn near destroyed the thing by messing with it so much. Later on I even lowered the attack to practice double tapping techniques which I was heavily into for a while. If I were to truly play it again on a regular basis it would need a complete rewiring though, not sure it is worth the trouble.
