Picked up my pre order of the Collector’s Edition of Sims 3 today. I managed to snag it for the price of the regular version so it wasn’t too bad of a deal too.
I was a big fan of Sims 2 and had all the expansions so I was very much looking forward to this new installment of what was the best selling computer game of all time.
The game came in a pretty big box in which you could already clearly see the Sim dongle. A 1GB (I think?) USB stick in the shape of the oh so familiar Sim diamond that hovers over your active Sim’s heads.
Inside there was a lot of papers; a quick manual, a big manual, stickers, and leaflets with code to download the special collector’s edition’s car and even a second neighbourhood!
I haven’t played around with it a lot yet, but it definitely looks like lot of fun!
One thing that I did notice fairly quickly was “omg no pets!” lol. There aren’t any expansions (yet) of course so there’s no pets, no college lots to play, or even bars to hang out in. I’m sure they’ll be making expansions for it fairly soon, this is bound to be yet another huge hit! :D
